This afternoon we had an enjoyable lunch at Ichiban Sushi Japanese Restaurant at Jurong Point.
At first we planned to have light lunch due to not so hungry after movie. Who know when we were in the restaurant, we were attracted by the value set 'spicy garlic beef set' ( come with chawanmushi, soup, salmon sashimi, rice, and fruit) and ala-carte menu 'grill salmon fish head' + combo set(rice,soup,salmon sashimi and fruit )
Me and my hubby were salmon sashimi lover however when the first serving spicy garlic beef come , after the first tried on it, we had non stop eating it and total forgot about salmon sashimi and about 20 to 30 min waiting, when the grilled salmon fish head come ,the same , we were non stop eating!!
We were not that hungry but what really can't stop us ?!!
Let me share some of my comments :
The spicy garlic beef
- The beef were really tender n completely immersed with the seasoning.Tasty! And you won't feel any salty in this dish! Plus the sources that fried with this beef was perfect match. Really open our appetite unexpectedly!
The chef was very considerate. They used fresh lettuce , cucumber and tomatoes as a side dish with beef so when you eat meat, you can wrap the meat with veggie (lettuce) or eat separately and that bring kind of refreshment and the veggie was really fresh! This dish simply tempted you for another mouth of beef again...Think this was the reason we ate non stop.
( We were so engrossed by the food and forgot to take picture before hand, wait till last two bites then only remember, so better than none, I took a close shot )
Grill Salmon Fish Head
- First the fish head was big. Secondly the meat was really fresh, tender and juicy and tasty. It was really worth value!
My hubby enjoy this dish very much and he non stop eating it till I can't resist but take a quick shot on him - the way he ate and enjoy his lunch..
Chawanmushi
-Chawanmushi in this Ichiban Sushi Japanese restaurant still the best I ever have. I was Chawanmushi lover and i had been tried this dish in many other japanese restaurant .. Always leave me some disappointment :( however I have to said this outlet Chawanmushi really satisfied my craving , my stomach and my taste bud :)
The egg was smooth n tasty. Not to soft and not to hard..It simple delicious and perfect match with broth and egg. ( I can tell u , it look simple but it really tested your skilled to make it smooth n tasty )
Finally come to our favorite salmon sashimi. As expected , fresh, tender and juicy! No comment on it:) Always satisfied! :)
