Taipei 8D7N Free and easy - Itinerary (Day 1)

Day 1-Taiwan Itinerary – on 2/10/12  (Tuesday)

By 6:15am -6:30 am - Depart from home
                             -  Book cab to Changi Airport ( Terminal 2)

Estimate 7:15 am – Reach Airport  

(Having breakfast at airport same time packet the food for Elise’s lunch & some light food for adult)                                                                                 

8:55am – Depart from Singapore
( Flight duration 4 1/2 , reached Tao Yuan Airport at 1:30 pm)

1:30pm-2:15pm - Estimate Check out + get luggage + buy SIM Card + Toilet Break


Little Info:

A.    Buy/Apply Sim card, Youth card and Easy card at TaoYuan airport

-Apply for youth travel card (青年旅遊卡) @ the tourism passenger service center in the airport which gives your discounts at selected restaurants and tourist sites.

-Apply for EasyCard (悠遊卡) @ MRT stations or 7/11 store

- A stored-valued smart card used to integrate fare collection for various transports by one card.

  NT$500, which includes $400 stored-value and $100 refundable deposit.

  Think: Oyster Card but for a cheaper and cleaner Tube.

- Buy SIM Card

Buy the Dageda 3G data sim card at counter in terminal 2 of Tao Yuan Airport.

Once get out of the arrival hall, turn left & look for counter selling sim cards. Dageda counter next to Zhong Hua counter. Paid NT300 for 5 days unlimited data.(as per tripadvisor info, will find out more that day)

Note: all 3 telecos have 3G Data Sims. DaGeDa is slightly more expensive for the unlimited data plan BUT are ONLY one that can provide both telecommunication services & 3G data together.

B. For cab services

 We have booked two way.

(Mr. Chan Jun Ting 陈俊廷+886935-247-935), he charges NT$988 one way (Airport-taipei city centre).

2:15pm - Depart from Tao Yuan Airport, heading Taipei city

                (Journey take about 45 – 50 min)

3pm - 3:15pm - Reached Taipei rainbow hotel

3:15pm – Arrange check in and settle down at hotel

5 pm -  Dinner@The Modern Toilet (Chinese: 便所主题餐厅)

*The shop's name "Ya Rou" is "duck" in Chinese but actually they only sell wild goose. *
